For the next six weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the six members of Vanguard’s Directors Group with a “One Minute With” series.

Cyndi Fernandez has been with Vanguard for two-and-a-half years and is the Creative Director.

VC Creative Director Cyndi Fernandez

Vanguard celebrated its 25th anniversary this year; in one word describe:

The PR industry today: Evolving

The PR industry in 2037: Fundamental

In one word describe:

Yourself: Passionate

Your work style: Dedicated

Your legacy: Humanitarian

Finish the following sentences:

What excites me the most about the future of public relations is … the fact that the cultures and environments that surround us are ever-changing. In order to be heard among all of the noise, you must remain relevant, genuine, focused and flexible!

To me, innovation is … understanding the needs of an evolving cultural landscape and creating a new channel or tool to start a dialogue.

I knew I wanted to work in public relations when … I was able to see measurable results from the visual communications I had a hand in producing.

The communicator who inspires me is … Nelson Mandela.

My advice for future communicators for social change is … remain relevant, genuine, focused and flexible.

If I didn’t work in public relations I would … love to be a foreign service officer.

I want to be remembered at Vanguard for … my dedication and energy, and for being the Boggle champion at Vanguard! (Ryan P. — let me know when you’re up to the challenge!)

Most people at Vanguard don’t know this, but I … have often considered joining the Peace Corps.

    I don’t know, Cyndi, I’m pretty good at Boggle myself…. :)

  • Hello! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Cheers!
