PR DURING A PANDEMIC
Vanguard Communications has been working with our clients to adapt to the new realities that are affecting how they do their work and what they are focusing on. It has never been more important to contribute our expertise — from health and wellness to diversity, equity and inclusion — and our services, such as strategic communications planning and virtual events strategy, to the social causes that need them to thrive.
COVID also has challenged both our clients and our own staff to reimagine how and where we work. At Vanguard, while our offices on K Street are now open for our vaccinated staff who choose to come into the office, we continue to observe all CDC-directed protocols, which we find requires us to adapt the way we interact with each other.
Others staff members are choosing to work remotely, and we are encouraged by how well we have been able to collaborate effectively with our clients in this scenario. But such distancing can exact a toll on our mental health. That’s why we are taking time to support friends, family and even strangers. We are circulating articles on how to help those in greater need than ourselves. We are prioritizing taking time to walk our pets, help kids with homework, get fresh air, and recharge.
